Meet The New Year's Day Baby Born In Secaucus

SECAUCUS, NJ — This little baby girl, Hannah Fernanda Gomez, was born at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus at 9:16 a.m. on New Year's Day, last Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, making her one of the first babies born in the New York City metro area in 2020.

Hannah was welcomed to the world by mom Linbania Castro and dad Jose Gomez, who chose to deliver at Hudson Regional.

But the title of first baby in the state of New Jersey born on New Year's Day goes to Ezekiel Eli Sepulveda, who entered this world at 12:13 a.m. on New Year's Day. He was born at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, and is the first child of Jorge and Claret Sepulveda, who live in Paterson.
