And Kathy Gerbasio, the Secaucus High School nurse, and Mayor Mike Gonnelli have been nominated.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored? Kathy has been giving her time every day since day one, swabbing patients. Her everyday job is a high school nurse in Secaucus.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
There is never a day that she complains. Her heart is in to help these sick patients.

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?

Our Mayor is always there anytime of the day or night. He gives his cell to anyone that needs him. He has his own family to worry about, but he will do everything in his power to help you.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?

Caring, compassionate, wants to help everyone. Just a great mayor. There is no one like him.
