More Than 80 Percent Of Secaucus Is Vaccinated
80 percent of Secaucus adults have been vaccinated, compared to 49 percent of adults in New Jersey.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus is almost doubling the rest of New Jersey in the percentage of the adult population that has received a coronavirus vaccine.
Based on data from the last week of May, more than 80 percent of adults in Secaucus have been vaccinated.
"It is projected we are now over 80 percent of adults vaccinated," said Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli and town administrator Gary Jeffas. "68 percent of adults 18 and over had both shots and 11 percent had their first dose."

New Jersey is one of the top states in the nation in terms of percent of the population vaccinated, with 49 percent of the adult population vaccinated. The states leading the vaccine race are: Vermont: 57 percent; Maine: 55 percent; Connecticut and Massachusetts: 54 percent; Rhode Island: 52 percent.
The town of Secaucus is still vaccinating anyone ages 12 and up with the Pfizer vaccine. The town is taking appointments now for next week. You must live or work in Secaucus. Book an appointment at www.secaucusnj.gov/vaccine
