ENGINEER – TOWN OF SECAUCUS (Hudson) Is seeking a full-time general engineer for the department. The qualified candidate will assist in the investigation, development, design, and construction of a variety of municipal engineering projects.

Performs field work through on-site inspections, review of reports, and conferences and provides sound engineering recommendations. Will perform work in conjunction with the Superintendent of Public Works and the Construction Department. Prepares and reviews plans and specifications. Prepares construction cost estimates. Provides technical engineering advice and assistance to municipal officials. Responds to citizen complaints and inspects problem areas. Inspects the construction of driveways, sewer installations, and street construction and maintenance. Assists with the planning of long-range capital improvement programs and provide assistance to the Superintendent of Public Works as required. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and EIT required. PE License strongly recommended. Minimum 3 - 5 years of civil consulting and field inspection experience. Proficient in using AutoCAD 3D design and Microsoft applications required. Knowledge of engineering principles and theories. Valid NJ driver’s license in good standing.
