SECAUCUS, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on in Secaucus this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Secaucus so you can start planning now.
Here's what's in store this July 4th:
The town of Secaucus will hold its annual July 4th fireworks show at the town pool on Wednesday night, July 3. There is a new live band this year, Alotta Coolada. The band starts at 7 p.m. There will also be food for sale and other vendors.

Open to Secaucus residents and their guests ONLY. Secaucus residents must show an ID to enter.
Jersey City's 4th of July fireworks will be on Thursday, July 4 with the usual all-day concert and celebration from noon to 10 p.m. at the foot of Christopher Columbus Drive, right on the Hudson River. Jersey City continues to get big names: Rapper Snoop Dog performed last year; this year Pitbull and Akon will be performing live in the free show.

New York City's fireworks will be on the evening of Wednesday, July 4, shot from seven barges in the East River between 24th street to 42nd street. So it may be difficult for New Jersey residents to see the show again this year. Jersey City may be your best bet for a free show.
