Secaucus's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Postponed
Secaucus' traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.
SECAUCUS, NJ — This year, Secaucus joined the ranks of so many New Jersey towns in making the decision to cancel its July 4th fireworks.
"There is just no way to safely fit everyone into the pool complex," said Secaucus Mayor Mike Gonnelli. "We are working on rescheduling it, probably sometime in August. It will definitely be before Memorial Day."
Secaucus' town-run summer camps will resume July 6: Campers do not have to wear masks, but they will not be taking any out-of-town trips.

These New Jersey towns will still have July 4th fireworks!
- North Jersey: State Fair Meadowlands, which normally has fireworks on July 4, is now running instead from July 23 through Aug. 9. When they update their schedule it will be here.
- Macy's New York City Fourth of July Fireworks are taking place on July 4 as usual, and will be shown on NBC. Macy's hasn't announced whether they will remain in the East River like the last few years, rather than the Hudson River. The Hudson River is better for New Jersey residents, who can see it from Hoboken, Jersey City and Liberty State Park.
- Ocean City's Fourth of July parade and fireworks on Saturday, July 4 are still happening. Kite flying competition at 7 p.m. followed by entertainment on the beach next to the Music Pier. A spectacular boardwalk fireworks display tops off the evening at 9 p.m. For more information call 609-399-6111.
