Secaucus Condo Building Evacuated Due To Gas Smell

The condo building at the corner of 10th and Front has been evacuated due to a smell of gas.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Update: Secaucus Fire Dept. turned off the gas to the building and turned the matter over to PSE&G. The gas smell may have been coming from a hot water heater.

There is a large fire truck response at the corner of 10th and Front streets in Secaucus as of about 10:30 Wednesday morning because of a possible gas leak.

The condo building at the corner of 10th and Front has been evacuated and residents are currently standing in the parking lot.

Multiple residents said they smelled gas in the building and called 911. All pets are being evacuated.

The Secaucus FD is assessing the situation and determining if there is a possible gas leak.
