SECAUCUS, NJ — Looking for the best restaurants in Secaucus to enjoy a nice meal outside?

Now that the weather is getting nice, we rounded up our favorite outdoor dining restaurants in Secaucus, or simply the best places to sit outside with a cocktail:

La Reggia: Locals' secret. Tucked under the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel. A formal, old-school Italian restaurant inside, with lavish space for banquets, weddings, repasts and more. Their patio has a breezy, sophisticated feel. Stop by for excellently-crafted martinis, appetizers and hearty Italian main courses. 40 Wood Avenue, Secaucus, NJ 07094 https://www.lareggiaus.com/

Plank Road Inn: Our favorite! Plank Road Inn might have seen their business increase last summer when they set up a covered dining area across the street that had a backyard picnic feel to it. The parking lot dining was so popular the restaurant brought it back for spring and summer 2021. Welcoming of families and kids. Come by for strong cocktails, sangria, home-cooked food and feel the breeze from MetLife stadium. 1538 Paterson Plank Road Secaucus, NJ 07094 https://www.plankroadinn.com/?...

Il Forno: Usually thought of as a pizza takeout, but explore their secret garden in the back. BYOB. 1536 Paterson Plank Road Secaucus, New Jersey http://www.ilfornopizzacafe.co...

Natoli's: Natoli's needs to be known as more than just a good takeout place for lunch sandwiches and catering. They have a beautiful outdoor patio set up in the back and the staff will bring your meal out to you. Also, ideal place to meet a friend for cappuccino, cannoli or another of their specialty Italian desserts. Bring a bottle of red wine and enjoy their pizza or Italian dinners. BYOB. 300 Clarendon St, Secaucus, NJ 07094 https://www.natolis.com/

Blackjack Mulligan's: The famous parking lot patio. Open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Think of it as an upscale dive bar with traditional pub fare, beer and cocktails. They had live music, but were shut down by the town when neighbors complained. They are welcoming of kids and good for families and small children. 146 Front St, Secaucus, NJ 07094 http://blackjackmulligans.com/

Bareli's: The fanciest restaurant in town. Plush and uber-comfortable settings indoors, but they also have the white tent set up alongside Rt. 3. Their outdoor tent is heated. Live piano music indoors on weekends. 219 NJ-3, Secaucus, NJ 07094 https://www.barelisrestauranta...
