Secaucus Police Blotter, April 5 - April 11
A woman was ticketed by police in Plaza Center parking lot last week for leaving her two children alone in the car.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:
On April 5 at 6:30 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in regards to a burglary and theft that occurred to three trailers parked at Sam's Club on Feb. 8, Secaucus Police arrested Gawad Dalia, 36, of Fairview, NJ for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Dalia was also found to have one outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ with no bail. He was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On April 6 at 7:58 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department of a theft that occurred at UPS located at 493 County Avenue on April 2, the police responded to the area of County Avenue and arrested Blaine Sharpe, 19, of Bloomfield, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Sharpe was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On April 8 at 7:20 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested Hezzie Lewis, 37, of Jersey City for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $150. JCPD released Lewis on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On April 9 at 3:11 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Plaza Centre parking lot on a report of children left unattended in a motor vehicle. Police arrested a woman, 38, of Secaucus for two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. She was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody. (Name not given by police to protect privacy of the child.) Police say it was actually two children left in the car, one child less than one year and the other was 6. The children had been left there for over 10 minutes.

On April 11 at 4:46 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested Anthony Simpson, 36, of Jersey City for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City in the amount of $5,000 with a 10% option and one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City in the amount of $100. Simpson was unable to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department.
