Secaucus Police Blotter, June 7 - June 13

A man was charged with drunk driving after police said he hit several parked cars in the parking lot of the Secaucus hospital:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:

On June 7 at 11:39 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of Hudson Regional Hospital located at 55 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a motor vehicle that had struck several parked vehicles in the parking lot and proceeded to leave the area. The police located the involved vehicle in the area of 40 Meadowlands Parkway and a motor vehicle stop was conducted. During the investigation, the police arrested a 69-year-old male, Ramon Hernandez of West New York, NJ for Driving Under the Influence [39:4-50]. Mr. Hernandez was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional eight motor vehicle summons and Mr. Hernandez was subsequently released from police custody after enough time passed where he no longer showed signs of impairment.

At 9:49 p.m. on June 8, officers from the Union City Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transfer custody of a 23-year-old male, Bryan Villalta-Rojas of Union City, NJ for three outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,750. Mr. Villalta-Rojas was able to post bail for the involved warrants and was released from police custody.

On June 9, in an effort to combat vice-related crimes within the Town of Secaucus, the Secaucus Police Detective Division arrested the following individuals: At 5:17 p.m., the police arrested a 32-year-old female, Lucy Oviedo Ramos of San Juan De La Maguana, DR for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Ms. Oviedo Ramos was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody. At 8:01 p.m., the police arrested a 25-year-old female, Shannon Cave of Union City, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)]. Ms. Shannon Cave was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody. At 9:23 p.m., the police arrested a 25 year old female, Edily Perez Batista of Elizabeth, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)]. Ms. Perez Batista was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

At 8:50 a.m. on June 10, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 25-year-old male, Kareem Codrington of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington, NJ in the amount of $350. Codrington was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

At 3:29 a.m. on June 13, the Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped in the shoulder area of Rt. 3 East in an unsafe location. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Raphy Sanchez of Jersey City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Sanchez was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional two motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
