Secaucus Police Blotter, March 29 - April 4

A man was found in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn with methamphetamine and GHB March 30, said Secaucus Police.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:

On March 29 at 8:45 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 6th Street and Centre Avenue on a report of a suspicious person. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male, Luis Camacho of the Bronx, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of Tenafly, NJ in the amount of $300. The Tenafly Police Department released Camacho on his own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody.

On March 30 at 10:50 a.m., while on patrol the Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Joshua Rodriguez of Guttenberg, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate [2C:35-10.2A], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-5B(9)(B)] and Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3]. The police also arrested a 33-year-old male, Manuel Rodriguez Aguilar of New York, NY for Being Under the Influence of a CDS believed to be Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate and Methamphetamine [2C:35-10B(1)]. Both Mr. Rodriguez and Mr. Rodriguez Aguilar were served their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On March 30 at 2:41 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 28-year-old male, Jared Clark of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $1,500, one outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $500, one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $74. The Clifton Police Department along with the Wayne Police Department and the Hoboken Police Department did release Mr. Clark on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Mr. Clark was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ and was released from police custody.

On March 31 at 1:12 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old male of Jamaica, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $150 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Wall Township, NJ with no bail. The man was further charged with four counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)] after it was learned that the man left four of his children unattended in a hotel room and hindering apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing law enforcement with false information. The man was issued his complaint summons along with six motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Wall Township Police Department responded to the Secaucus Police Department and took custody of the male for transport back to their agency. *His name is not published to protect the confidentiality of his children.

On April 2 at 12:54 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of 100 Castle Road on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old male, Diego Mosquera of Valley Stream, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mosquera was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with five additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On April 2 at 4:34 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36-year-old male, Jerome Potts of Paterson, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $100. Potts was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued seven motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On April 3 at 2:35 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Elijah Davis-Harrison of New York, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $500 with a 10% option. Davis-Harrison was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On April 3 at 7:35 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 44-year-old male, Michael Chisolm of Jersey City, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Chisolm was subsequently released from police custody, pending a court date.

On April 4 at 2:11 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Calvin Klein located at 30 Enterprise Avenue on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, James Steele of the Bronx, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of Trenton, NJ in the amount of $1,250 with a 10% option and one outstanding warrant issued out of Trenton, NJ in the amount of $1,250 full bail. The Trenton Police Department did release Steele on his own recognizance pending a future court date and was released from police custody.
