Secaucus Police Blotter, May 10 - May 16

There were three different arrests for drunk driving last week in town:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:

On May 11 at 6:49 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of Meadowlands Parkway and 10th Street on a report of an individual possibly sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that was stopped on the roadway. During the investigation, police arrested a 46-year-old male, Cristobal Veliz-Urrunaga of North Bergen, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Veliz-Urrunaga was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional three motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On May 13 at 7:25 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of 1301 Paterson Plank Road on a report of an individual possibly sleeping in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle that was parked in the parking lot. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year=old male, Angel Bermudez-Bermudez of Madison, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Bermudez-Bermudez was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On May 14 at 12:07 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped in the right lane of Paterson Plank Road near the ramp to Rt. 3 west. During the investigation, the police arrested a 40-year-old male, Alberto Concha of Princeton, MD for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Concha was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody after sufficient time elapsed to deem Concha’s blood alcohol content to be under the legal limit.

On May 14 at 3:47 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a physical altercation between a male and female. During the investigation, the incident that was reported to the police via 911 was found to have not occurred. At 5:01 a.m. on the same date, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Tyrell Piazza of Jersey City, NJ at the Red Roof Inn for making False Reports to Law Enforcement [2C:28-4A]. Piazza was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
