Secaucus Police Blotter, May 17 - May 23

Again, there were multiple people charged with DWI in Secaucus last week:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's arrests:

On May 17 at 2:16 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old male, Duvine Coates of Jamaica, NY for one outstanding warrant issued out of Mount Olive Township, NJ in the amount of $120. Coates was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued three motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On May 18 at 12:58 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the area of Meadowlands Parkway and Harmon Plaza on a report of a motor vehicle stopped in the left lane of traffic. During the investigation, the police arrested a 38-year-old male, Terrence Glover of Jersey City, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Glover was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with one additional motor vehicle summons and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On May 18 at 9:46 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hudson Regional Hospital located at 55 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of an ex-employee on the premises that was refusing to leave. Police arrested a 30-year-old male, Andy Kankam of West Orange, NJ for Criminal Trespass [2C:18-3B]. Kankam was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On May 19 at 1:03 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Rodeway Inn located at 155 Rt. 3 East on a report of an individual at that location who was possibly being held against her will by a man armed with a handgun. Although the initial report to police was discovered to be unfounded, the police arrested Maurice Richardson, 37, of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail along with a 27 year old male, Kareem Mumford of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail and a 23 year old female, Nicole Espino of Jersey City, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $275.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $99. Hoboken, along with the North Bergen and the Union City did release Espino on her own recognizance pending future court dates and she was released from police custody. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of both Richardson and Mumford for transport to their authority.

On May 19 at 3:50 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Hudson Regional Hospital located at 55 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of female acting disorderly. During the investigation, police arrested Nicole Torres, 20, of Union City, NJ for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(5)(J)]. Torres was served her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On May 20 at 1:19 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested Aswan Jones, 23, of Norfolk, VA for Unlawful Possession of a Handgun [2C:39-5B(1)], Possession of Handgun Ammunition [2C:58-3.3B] and Possession of High Capacity Magazine [2C:39-3J]. Jones was served his complaint warrant along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On May 22 at 10:11 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested Debora Gonzalez, 58, of Bogota, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Gonzalez was served her motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
