SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus Police arrested the following two men, both out of towners, who they said tried to meet with underage girls for sex. One of the men went to the Secaucus Walmart to meet with a girl, 14.

Both men used the same Internet-based dating app, said police, who did not name the app.

Police say that this past Monday, April 5, Nicholas Signorelli, 24, of Springfield, went to the Secaucus Walmart to meet a fourteen-year-old with the purpose to engage in sexual relations. He never met the girl.

He was arrested Thursday morning by Secaucus Police and charged with luring and enticing a child.

After Monday's incident, Secaucus Police created accounts on that same dating app and posed as minors under the age of 18.

Shortly thereafter, Secaucus Police started chatting online with a 34-year-old Wallington man man, now identified as Nevil Rana, who police say "engaged in a conversation with a girl who he believed was fifteen while also sending sexually explicit photos of himself."

On Friday, Rana traveled to Secaucus "with the purpose to engage in sexual relations with the child," said police. He was arrested Friday without incident and charged with luring, enticing, criminal attempt to endanger the welfare of a child and obscenity for persons under 18.

“Although the agreed upon meeting location was the only nexus to Secaucus, the Secaucus Police Department will exhaust all our resources to protect children and remove these predators from the street,” Chief Dennis Miller said. “I am very thankful that no child was victimized.”
