SECAUCUS, NJ — A Secaucus woman said her dog was stolen right out of her hands while riding the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail earlier this week in Jersey City; however NJ Transit police were able to get the pooch back to her.

The unnamed 46-year-old Secaucus woman said that at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, June 29, she was standing on the platform at the Richard Street light rail station in Jersey City.

She said a teenage boy and girl grabbed her dog Bella's leash out of her hands, and got on an approaching light rail train. They boarded the train, the doors closed and they left the station.
