10 a.m. to noon: Spring MAKE Camp Count Fish Game at the Secaucus Michael's! Keep little makers' creativity flowing during their Spring Break! Supplies included. The Laurel Hill paddling center in Secaucus officially opens for the 2019 season this Saturday! Stop by to rent a kayak and explore on your own, or sign up for one of their special guided kayak tours. They also have moonlight kayak tours. 10 a.m. 5K Run/Walk and Earth Day Fair in Liberty State Park: Hudson County Improvement Authority will hold its annual 5K Earth Day Run/Walk: 10 a.m. start at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Sign up here: https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/JerseyCity/EarthDay5K Post-race refreshments at the Earth Day Fair, featuring the Earth Day Kid’s Kingdom! All activities, including parking, located in beautiful Liberty State Park. They will have free rides, arts and crafts and a kids' obstacle course - you don't even need to run the race to enjoy it all! The Earth Day fair goes from 11 - 4 p.m., independent of the race.
10 a.m. - noon: Kids Club Spring Showers Art at the Secaucus Michael's: Kids 3 and up can enjoy creating spring art on a canvas. Sign up in store or online, or just drop in. Parent or guardian must remain on premises during the event. $3 at the Secaucus Michael's craft store. There are still 9 spots left!
12 p.m. Volunteer to clean up at Liberty State Park: Teach kids the importance of volunteering. There is a clean-up along the paths of Liberty State Park and the beaches. Please dress to work outdoors, wear sturdy shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. Pre-registration is required. 12 noon to 3 p.m. Celebrate Holi at Millridge Point Park in Secaucus: Holi is an exuberant festival of colors usually celebrated in the month of March. Originally called Holika, Holi is meant to be a festival that brings people together. Meeting and greeting friends and relatives and exchanging sweets and gifts are integral parts of Holi. Throwing the colored powder represents good karma and well wishes. Each color means something.
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Northern Valley Earth Day Fair at Tenafly Middle School

1-3 p.m. Make a Tie-Dye t-shirt at the Michael's craft store in Edgewater (note: this is not offered at the Secaucus location) Take a t-shirt from plain to patterned and bright! Buy the t-shirt, and the supplies to decorate it will be provided.
4:30: Monster Energy Supercross show at MetLife stadium. Fanfest starts at 10 a.m.; racing starts at 4:30 p.m.

All day: Paramus food truck festival: There will be more than 25 food trucks parked at Garden State Plaza. $5 entrance fee. There's also a beer and sangria garden, live music and activities like face painting for kids. 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Party for the Planet at the Bergen County Zoo! A free Earth Day celebration for all visitors of the Bergen County Zoo. 11 a.m. to noon: Rappin' with Raptors at the Tenafly Nature Center Join a Tenafly Nature Center naturalist this Sunday as they introduce you to our amazing raptors (birds of prey such as hawks and osprey). Learn all about our feathered friends and the adaptations that help them survive. Meet a live hawk and owl and discover how amazing birds of prey are. This program is intended for adults and families with children ages 5 and up. In the event of inclement weather program will be held under cover. Members: $5/non-member: $10.
