2. Make a Clock Tray at the Secaucus Home Depot
9 a.m. to 12 noon
Spark a conversation about one of the oldest inventions—hands down—in our hands-on workshop. Together you and your timekeeper can build a freestanding clock with easy-to-read numbers, movable hands and a storage tray to house reminders or important trinkets. Use as a learning clock to make telling time fun or as a tool to encourage the value of time. Once your clock is built, your child can customize it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. 4. Beauty and the Beast at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC)
Showtime is only Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. Show runs for an hour, performance is good for kids 4-10 Tickets start at $20

5. Celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday at Princeton University
March is Dr. Seuss' birthday, and we will be celebrating with a stupendous miniature golf course that is build as you go! There will be a plethora of supplies on hand to build the wackiest of wickets, plus special holes designed by Princeton University student artists. Complimentary clubs and balls are provided for you to customize, as well. Come play a few ridiculous rounds!

Learn how to identify a maple tree. Discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way sap has been gathered over the centuries. We'll check Tenafly Nature Center's tapped tree and observe how sap is boiled down to make fresh maple syrup, a sweet treat for all to taste! 2. Welcome in Year of the Pig at the New Brunswick Public Library
An afternoon of crafts and performances on Sunday, March 3, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Sponsored by the Confucius Institute of Rutgers University, this festive program will feature Chinese calligraphy, Chinese painting, colorful folk dancing, Kung Fu, Chinese Yo-Yo and instrumental performances led by the students and teachers from the Edison Chinese School, Murray Hill Chinese School, Joe Yung Dance Group and other community groups devoting in promoting Chinese culture.
