SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus residents, you don't have to travel too far from home to find things to do with the family this weekend. Our picks:

All weekend long: Obviously we're going to first mention the Secaucus Street Fair, which kicks off Friday night and runs all weekend long. Located in Plaza Centre, the times are: Friday, 6-11 p.m., Saturday, 2-11 p.m., and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. The official start of the summer season in Secaucus, the fair has bounce houses, rides for kids, food trucks, lives music, games and prizes and face painting.

Rutherford: Out of this World Magic Show at the Rutherford Public Library, 4-5 p.m. Free. 150 Park Avenue, Rutherford, NJ New Jersey Magician Steve Woyce will need kid volunteers to help him do tricks.

Hoboken: Where the Wild Things Are: A free performance in Elysian Park (10th and Hudson streets) 1 -3 p.m. Join your favorite storybook characters and become an integral part of the story as they sing, dance, whistle, and hum. Secaucus: Gandhi celebration at the Secaucus Rec Center: 11:45 a.m. - 3 p.m. Come for traditional Indian dance, drumming and music. Food, plus mediation and yoga classes.

The town of Secaucus invites residents 10 years and older on an environmental boat ride along the Hackensack River with the Hackensack Riverkeeper. This boat rides are usually several hundred dollars, so this is quite a deal for Secaucus town residents.
