Two Changes Coming To Secaucus Restaurant Scene

Changes at Oasis Bar & Grill and Trillos 15X by the train station:

SECAUCUS, NJ — There are some changes afoot in the Secaucus restaurant scene: First the long-shuttered Oasis Bar & Grill on Fifth Street will reopen as a pan-Asian restaurant. The new establishment will serve Japanese cuisine, including sushi, as well as Thai and Chinese, and they will likely deliver throughout town.

Work is being done inside the restaurant now; however, they do not expect to open for at least two more months, Patch was told.

It remains unknown why Oasis closed. They got very good reviews for Italian food.

Also, Trillo's 15X by the train station brought on a new investor (the original owners are still remaining, as well) and will be rebranded. Its new name is Starters & More. They haven't changed the signs on the exterior yet, but you will definitely notice some menu changes. They still serve alcohol and the kitchen says if you have any favorites from the old menu, just ask. They will prepare them.

Also, a gluten-free food festival will be at the Meadowlands Exposition Center this weekend, Oct. 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will have more than 100 brands of gluten-free and allergen-friendly products. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children. (355 Plaza Dr, Secaucus)
