Walmart, Secaucus Hospital Give Thanksgiving To 100 Families
The town's local hospital, Hudson Regional, along with the Walmart, handed out turkeys and a full Thanksgiving dinner to Secaucus families.
SECAUCUS, NJ — Thanksgiving week is kicking off with a bang and a lot of kindness here in little Secaucus!
The town's local hospital, Hudson Regional Hospital, along with the Walmart in Secaucus, handed out turkeys and a full Thanksgiving dinner this Monday to more than 100 local Secaucus families in need. Mayor Gonnelli said there were nearly 200 families there on Monday.
The Thanksgiving turkeys and meals were handed out from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Hudson Regional Hospital along Meadowlands Parkway. This was done in collaboration with the Township of Secaucus and Walmart of Secaucus.

Hudson Regional will also be providing free turkeys to its employees.
Township employees and hospital staff were also joined by a Silly Turkey, and a Pilgrim and Indian to give out turkey dinners that include mashed potatoes, stuffing and canned green beans and yams.

Operation Give Thanks is part of Hudson Regional Hospital’s community giving program that includes free classes and screenings throughout the year, and annual events including its community summer fun event and its breast cancer awareness screening event in October.
