Weehawken Lidl Grocery Store Opens This Wednesday

SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus does not have its own grocery store. So residents may like to know a Lidl food market is opening this Wednesday, Oct. 28 in Weehawken.

Lidl is a discount grocery store chain that started in Germany. They have spent 2019 and 2020 in a rapid expansion into the U.S. market.

The Weehawken Lidl is located at 4100 Park Avenue in Weehawken, NJ. Their grand opening is at 8 a.m. Oct. 28; the store will be open from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday-Sunday.

The first 100 customers will be presented with a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card.

Lidl actually ranks ahead of Trader Joe's and Costco in consumer surveys. In addition to fresh produce, meats and dairy, they will also have a rotating non-food selection will include fitness gear, small kitchen appliances, toys, outdoor furniture and more.
