Andre Braugher's "Last Resort" Premieres on ABC

The fall television show will feature South Orange resident Andre Braugher in "Last Resort."  The new drama is on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

In the show, Braugher stars as a U.S. ballistic missile submarine commander whose vessel is stranded after he refused to attack Pakistan.

Early reviews have been raves, lauding Braugher's "smoldering intensity."

Braugher told The New York Times that he prepared for the role by reading. A partial list of the works Braugher read is below.
