Beifus, Boiling Springs and Bids

A much-anticipated, brief report on the Beifus property was provided at Mon.'s Board of Trustees meeting. Village President Douglas Newman reported that Boiling Springs Savings Bank, the current owner of the property, received "a number" of bids for the site. "There's progress," said Newman. Those bids will be presented to the bank's Board of Directors.  This week has seen maintenance and mowing of the site.  "The new owners are taking responsibility," said Newman.  

When trustee Deborah Davis-Ford asked how many bids had been received by the bank, Newman noted that there has been "a lot of interest" in the property.
