Brown, Hilton, Haskins Lead In South Orange Municipal Election
Newcomer Braynard Brown is the top vote getter, with 32.05 percent of the votes, according to unofficial results.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — One incumbent and two newcomers are leading in Tuesday's race for the three spots open in the South Orange Board of Trustees, according to unofficial results.
While the top three are very close, newcomer Braynard Brown is leading, with 32.05 percent of the votes.
With the second spot in total number of votes counted so far is incumbent Karen Hartshorn Hilton, with 31.39 percent, followed by William Haskins, with 30.86 percent.

A total of four people ran for the three seats open in the South Orange Board of Trustees, including also Neil Chambers, who is far behind, with 5.70 percent of the votes.
Voter turnout for different towns across Essex County was 12.86 percent, out of 37,568 registered voters.
