Buckle Up for a Busy South Orange Weekend

Three big events are taking place in the Village this weekend - the good news is, you can go to all of them.

It promises to be an action-packed May weekend in South Orange, with three big events coming to the Village. With a little advance planning, it's possible to attend all three and not miss out on anything.

First, Downtown After Sundown returns for its third season on Friday with four concerts each weekend in South Orange Village from May through September. Performances run on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in two locations: the corner at Sloan Street and South Orange Avenue and Spiotta Park.

Fri., May 17: Sloan Street – The Frost Kings

Next up is  one of the largest gatherings of vintage German cars on the East Coast, on Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Enjoy over 400 cars from the '80s, live music from The Hellatones and much more. See the map attached to this article as a PDF for more details.

After you've had your fill of autos, head over to the South Orange Historical and Preservation Society's famed "Gems of South Orange House Tour." This always anticipated event is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can tour the exteriors and interiors of six spectacular houses representing a variety of styles.
