Candlelight Vigil Scheduled for Saturday, 5PM

A Candlelight Vigil for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting is being organized for Saturday, 5 p.m., Meadowlands Park - Duck Pond (South side adjacent to South Orange Middle School)

"Moved by the tragic shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, this candlelight vigil is being held to mourn the loss of 26 innocent victims--20 of whom were young children five to ten years of age. It is foremost a call to stand and grieve as a community this terrible loss of life. It is also to inspire immediate citizen action toward gun control, and to work toward finding effective avenues to help the mentally ill and their families," according to MoveOn.org

This event is open to the public; people who attend are asked to bring candles
