Community Pool Open House Saw 102 Swimmers

Pool opened, and will open again on July 4, to badge holders and residents who don't hold badges

For the first time in memory, South Orange's Community Pool held an open house. On Fri., June 25, Village residents who don't currently hold a Recreation and Cultural Affairs identification badge were welcome at the pool when they showed proof of residency.

According to Village President Douglas Newman, "We opened the pool facility on Friday to all residents to provide everyone with an opportunity to experience this incredible recreation facility.  And, for newcomers to the Village's pool, the intent was to inspire them to obtain a South Orange Recreation I.D. badge for the entire season."

The annual fee for an I.D. Badge, often known as a "pool pass," is $30.00. The maximum fee is $120 per family. A family is defined as parents and dependent children living within the same household.
