Cops: Burglar Breaks into Varsity Road Apartment

A burglar stole a Kindle, a camera and a jewelry box from a home on Varsity Road Tuesday after breaking in by pushing in a ground floor air conditioner, according to South Orange Police.

The burglar climbed through the window after pushing in the air conditioner and ransacked a second-floor bedroom shortly after 1 p.m., police said. After officers arrived on the scene, the burglar fled through the back door and over a rear fence into Newark, police said.

The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
