Two students tell Patch, and one parent corroborates, that some Friday Night Live ( members met with administrators on Friday afternoon to work out a compromise that will allow students to attend prom.
Those students slated for disciplinary action will still face consequences. However those whose prom eligibility was threatened will be able to attend the Monday night prom. They will have other disciplinary consequences instead, said one member of the club. A student involved with the situation reports that the alternative to missing prom is community service that those will perform after the school year ends. (Patch awaits confirmation from members of the club who are 18, and can therefore be quoted by name.)
