As a part of the Y's Togetherhood Program, there will be a charity car wash to benefit Soccerhood, "a local initiative to raise the money needed for equipment for children from families who cannot afford registration and equipment to play soccer in the Baird's South Mountain soccer program this fall."Soccerhood is expecting to enroll 6 kids for the fall season, and needs the community's help to make it happen.Come out to the the Y ECLC parking lot on Saturday where volunteers, "will be on hand and ready get your car looking fine for the Labor Day weekend with all proceeds sponsoring local youth to participate in sports teams!"There is a suggested donation of $5-$10/car.Elizabeth Sarkisian, School Age Child Care parent, is in charge of this project.Image via shutterstock
