Charity Golf Outing Benefits Seton Hall Student Counseling Services

All proceeds to the Aspiring Kindness Foundation's golf outing will go toward Seton University's Counseling and Psychological Services Department.

Scores of golfers will hit the rolling greens in an effort to raise funds with the Aspiring Kindness foundation.

The organization's second annual golf outing is a day-long event to benefit the Seton Hall University Counseling  and Psychological Services Department and will take place Monday, July 28 at Maplewood Country Club.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner is provided to dedicated golfers who hang out all day as well as unlimited beer and wine.

The Aspiring Kindness Foundation began in response to a dormitory fire at Seton that killed three students. During that crisis, the psychological services department assisted in the emotional healing of the campus.

“We plan to spend all of the money on outreach and prevention programs for students,” CAPS director Katherine Evans said, “To open the discussion about mental health and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment which can be a barrier for some people to seek help.”

Prospective participants may register for the event here. Entry fees are $200 for an individual golfer, $750 for four players, and $75 dollars to attend the dinner at the clubhouse only.
