Hitting the Books at SHU

After days of orientation and moving in, classes began on Monday

The class of 2014 hit the books on Monday, as classes began at Seton Hall University. and had a weekend of orientation and settling in.

According to the university, the major programs have common requirements for beginning students. This core curriculum is complemented by courses chosen by the student, often those required for a given major. Most students have a course load of 16 credits,  five classes and the University Life course.

Most courses meet three times a week for 50 minutes or twice a week for 75 minutes. The University Life course meets once each week for 50 minutes and is taught by a mentor with help from the peer adviser. Issues such as time management, learning styles, communication skills, career development, and stress management are discussed.
