How Can South Orange Get A Trader Joe’s?

There's a new Trader Joe's coming to North Jersey in May, but there will still be only one Essex County location. Learn how to change that.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — There is a new Trader Joe’s coming to North Jersey in May, but the much-anticipated Hoboken grocery store may be just out of the reach of most Essex County residents, who only have one current location in their home county… the Millburn location.

So just how the heck can South Orange get a Trader Joe’s in its neck of the woods, anyway?

Here’s a tip for internet activists: Trader Joe’s offers a “Request a TJ’s in My City” form on its website, which can be seen here. The website also offers contact forms to give feedback for an existing store or about Trader Joe’s products.

“There are no guarantees, but being wanted matters to us,” the company website states. “Thank you for your recommendation.”

Who knows? If you’re persistent enough, maybe a Facebook post like the one below can be in your town’s future?
