InterACT Productions Holding Auditions for '9 to 5'

InterACT Productions, the South Orange, New Jersey-based community theater, said it is holding auditions for ”9 to 5: The Musical” on Monday and Tuesday Feb. 16-17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The new production, with book by Patricia Resnick and music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, is based on the hit 1980 film of the same name, starring the country music legend.

Nicholas Clarey directs for interAct, which presents its plays in the blackbox Baird Theater, at 5 Mead Street, in South Orange.

Casting is looking for young men aged 15 to 17 and men and woman 18-years and up. For information about scheduling an audition, which is by appointment only, please click here.

Callbacks are scheduled for Feb. 21 at 11 a.m.

Actors should prepare 32-40 bars each of one ballad and one up tempo in the MT or belt style. A choreography/movement audition will also be part required. Readings will be by cold reading, therefore no monologues will be seen.

Performances are scheduled for May 1-3, May 8-10th and May 15-17th.
