Jazz and Blues Live Music Ready to Rock South Orange All Weekend
This weeked 6/29-30 Downtown After Sundown Special Performers in Jazz and Bles are ready to rock Spiotta Park and the South Orange Gazebo.

Another great weekend coming so mark your calendars for Fri 6/29 and Sat 6/30. It's definitely gonna be Jazz Blues and Art All Around Our Towns. It's FREE FUN Bring your chairs.
Jazz On Sloan at the South Orange Gazebo-

Mamiko Watanabe Trio
6/29 Fri in our opening jazz event, serious jazz lovers should get ready for Pianist, composer Mamiko Watanabe who was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival Solo Piano Competition in Montreux, Switzerland both in 2002 and 2003. She has toured Germany, Italy and Japan and has performed with several jazz greats such as Joe Lovano, Kevin Mahogany, Bobby McFerrin, Tiger Okoshi and Phil Wilson. In 2003 she received the DownBeat Student Award in the Jazz Soloist category and performed in the 2010 Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, the 2012 Super Jazz Ashdod Festival in Israel, 2014 Koktebel Jazz Party Festival in Russia and many other notable venues such as The Kitano NY, Blue Note N.Y, The Iridium, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola, The Lenox Lounge, The Kennedy Center,and Victoria Theater at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center), just to name a few. Add in our local favorites Drummer Noel Sagerman and Bass player Ian Kenselaar. It's going to be a really great night of Jazz.

DC Fusion Band
6/30- Sat night brings the return of DC Fusion - these cats bring the funk to the fusion and just like last year, these guys Bass player Darryl Clark, Pianist Howard Hall, Drummer Abdullah Rahman and for the first time the Jazz On Sloan at the South Orange Gazebo will have a truly special player, killer vibraphonist Kevin G Sanders on Electric Vibes and Percussion. Kevin has played at events all over the Tri-State area performing in Jazz concerts, PNC art center, Convention, hall, The Metropolitan and Paramount Theatre. Kevin has performed with a cast of gifted musicians and has been the opening act for Bucky Pizzarelli, Alex Bugnon and Bob Baldwin, Sinbad and has performed with Pieces of a Dream, Bobby Humphrey and Keith Marks. Kevin G Sanders a former Mayor City of Asbury Park is founder and leader of his own band The Mayors Players a Smooth Jazz and R and B Ensemble. I'm excited this is the firsts time we will have a vibraphone and DC Fusion is going to be smoking all night.

Vin Mott's Rhythm & Blues Band
6/29 If you love the Blues, on Friday you are gonna have a dancing, swinging good time with rising starr Vin Mott's Rhythm & Blues Band - Vincent Michael Mott, draws heavily from the heroes of Chicago and Memphis blues, paying homage to originators such as James Cotton, Little Walter, Junior Parker, Muddy Waters, and Howlin’ Wolf, while adding the band’s own flare and modern sensibility.

Al Gold & the Suburban Rhythm Kings
6/30 on Sat it's our local town favorite returning after many years, our very own Hat City NJ Blues Jam Leader Al Gold & the Suburban Rhythm Kings Tom Rice, Guitar -Terry Hammer Bass and local drummer Jerry Cordasco. Al Gold runs the jams, he runs his bands, Al Gold intends for you to have a very good time.
Combined over two days, Friday with Harmonica Man Vin Mott and Sat Local Blues legend Al Gold you will hear them making the Sounds In Spiotta Park DAS that will have you dancing, howling and swinging to the Blues all weekend long.
Bring your lawn chairs, come on out and join us for this event produced by South Orange Village Center Alliance and town of South Orange managed and curated by Gregory Burrus Around Town. Good times guaranteed.
