Come spend an enjoyable evening listening to some of the best local 973Jazz cats around. They continually knock audiences out their seats with some truly cool smooth jazz fusion tunes. Add in the beautiful melodious voice of vocalist Lynette Sheard and Darrylclarkfusionwill have you shaking your head yes, yes and saying more more. This is a wonderful treat that is very tasteful and synchronized in delivery of their tunes hence an enjoyable night of music is definitely guaranteed. Darryl Clark Bandleader, Bass
Darryl Clark Bandleader started with classical guitar at 8 years old and took up the bass guitar when he was 14. Darryl’s introduction to jazz bass came in his teens from legendary bassist Earl May (played with Miles Davis, Lester Young, Gene Ammons, Sonny Stitt, and Mercer Ellington, Miles Davis) while a student at the Jazzmobile in NYC. He has performed with jazz artists Nat Adderley Jr, Tina Fabrique, Steve Marley, Marshall McDonald, and Kirk Tamura. Darryl’s latest project, DC Fusion an R&B/Jazz group, recently released their first CD “West Coast Dreamin”. He has played at a variety of venues such as Lincoln Center, Trumpets, The Bitter End, Cleopatra’s Needle, Flushing Town Hall, the Priory, The Borgata, the Hedley Club in San Jose as well as various festivals in the NYC metropolitan area. Darryl has been integral to the music ministries at Bethel AME, St Matthew AME youth prison ministry, currently is at Bethany Church in West Orange.
Abdullah Rahman - Drums

Abdullah Rahman - Teacher of percussion at Harlem School for the Arts and the UNC school of the Arts in North Carolina. Abdullah has performed all over the world most recently in Russia and many clubs across NYC.

Alex DeLazzari - Saxophone

Originally from Italy but growing up in the D.C. area, saxophonist and composer. Alex first picked up the saxophone at age 12, and, shortly after hearing a few John Coltrane records, was hooked. Now he is a freshman at William Paterson University in New Jersey where he studies with famed saxophonist Vincent Herring. Recently has performed at Baltimore's Germanos, Petworth's Zig Zag Club in Berlin's Umbria Jazz Festival, around New Jersey venues Hat City, Newark's Clements Place, Suzy Ques, South Orange 24 Hours Festival, New Brunswick Jazz Venues, and New York City Bar Next Door.
Howard Hall - Keys

Howard's diverse musical background includes classical, R&B, jazz, Latin jazz and gospel. Howard displays a soulful and melodic touch to his interpretations. Howard's style drives the group to explore new places for many standards. Howard has played the Bitter End and numerous NJ summer concert series.
Lynette Sheard - Vocalist

To hear her is to love her. A small taste is really all you need, her vocal versatility is amaxing as you sit and listen you feel gourself wanting more. Lynette Sheard is a gifted versatile vocalist with a five octave range and a perfect pitch. She is an actor, producer and director. Her performances have been acknowledged in numerous publications including, NY Times, The Record and the Chronicle. The Star Ledger proclaims that “Her voice reaches deep into one’s soul and finds a soft spot” She performs Jazz, R&B and in many other genres.
Theater credits include principal roles in: Dream Girls, Smokey Joes Café, Ragtime, Swing, Aida, and an encore performance as Lena Younger Mama in Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. She has received countless awards and recognition for her musical service work with children, the elderly and veterans.
Most recently Lynette has been featured in the “Encyclopedia of Newark Jazz”. She is the unseated “West Orange Idol”.
