It was anything but business as usual at local grocery stores on Sunday morning. The Millburn ShopRite, popular with many residents of Maplewood and South Orange, had a line of people waiting when doors opened at 7 a.m.  Trader Joe's saw the same, when it opened at 8 a.m. Shoppers were waiting for PetCo to open, as well, for last-minute pet needs.

PathMark restocked many of its sold-out items overnight.

saw cases of water snatched by worried shoppers, almost as soon as pallets hit the sales floor. Bread and canned goods were going fast, too.  Minutes after opening, the line for deli and prepared foods was more than 20 strong.

Locally, Kings is well-stocked with food, though ran out of jugs of water late on Saturday. Eden Gourmet has water and ice. Fine Fare is stocked with water, as well.
