Sheila Oliver Announces Main Street MusicWalk Grant In S. Orange
Press conference was held to announce SOVCA was awarded a $21,500 Transformation Grant from Main Street New Jersey.

Have you heard the news? SOVCA has been awarded a $21,500 Transformation Grant from Main Street New Jersey. Many awardees were in town from Westfield, Bloomfield, plus other areas. Acting Governor Sheila Oliver was in town 7/31/2019 at Spiotta Park from 12-1pm for a press conference announcing all the winners!

Governor Sheila Oliver, Village President Sheena Collum and SOVCA Chair Mark Murphy described how we are activating the pedestrian walkway between South Orange Ave and the Parking Lot between Grid Iron Waffle and the Bank America building.

South Orange Walkway
This space will be transformed into an interactive public music art space, complete with new murals, flower instruments, benches, overhead bistro lights, up lighting, landscaping, a custom bike rack and audio music piped in.
