Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Soap
East Orange man charged with shoplifting household items from Pathmark.

South Orange police have arrested a 42-year-old East Orange man Sunday for shoplifting from a local supermarket, officials said.
Lawrence Hughes was arrested Sunday, Dec. 2 at around 6 p.m. after employees at Pathmark saw Hughes allegedly shoplift various household and bath items throughout the store.Â

Supermarket employees confronted and detained Hughes until South Orange police arrived.
Following his arrest, police also discovered Hughes had an outstanding arrest warrant from West Orange.
