South Orange Police Arrest Man Hiding Liquor in Pants

A thief who hid two bottles of liquor in his pants was arrested as he tried to leave A&D Deli located on Valley Street on Aug. 8. 

Darryl Aikens, 44, an Easton, Pa. resident was arrested by South Orange police. The store owner said that Aikens stole liquor the day before, as well.

Also on Valley Street, Wine Emporium reported on Aug. 10, at approximately 9:10 p.m., a black man wearing a grey shirt stole a bottle of liquor and ran out the door. The man jumped into the driver's side of a black vehicle, perhaps a Chevy Malibu, and traveled west on First Street. The manager said the same man stole liquor from his store in the past. The matter is under investigation.
