BOT Swearing in, Memorial Day Plans This Week in South Orange

• Patch will cover the South Orange Board of Trustees annual Organization Meeting on Monday at 8 p.m., which will include the swearing in of . 

Also on the agenda: appointments to boards and committees, and a proclamation honoring the 125th Anniversary of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.  

 

• Maplewood Middle School and South Orange Middle School will each host School in Action night on Thursday, where visitors can get a look at all the wonderful things going on in the district's middle schools. Middle schoolers have a four-hour day and will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.

 

• Memorial Day Weekend School closings: some South Orange - Maplewood School District schools are closed on Friday and Tuesday as well as Monday. For complete information, see this Patch article.

Looking ahead to next week: South Orange will hold its traditional Memorial Day Service next Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Rock near the Duck Pond. The public is invited to attend.
