Patch Turned 100, while South Orange Celebrates Summer
The week included a milestone for this site and the last blast of summer for our town

It was a quiet week, if you don't count the sound of resurfacing South Orange Avenue, the . The Trustees met and approved sandwich boards, and heard about the missing monuments.
Patch celebrated site 100 and your editor volunteered at EIES to mark the occasion. The Board of Education considered other numbers, as budget talks began early. The school year has an unusual start pattern this year. Personal shopping with NCJW took kids back to school.
We learned that the kids are all right in South Orange, and Garden State Equality came to town. Our Village Gardener advised us to enjoy these lazy last days of summer, perhaps visiting the Farmers Market or watching tennis this coming week.

Lauren Bright Pacheco brought shopping local to town with a visit to E&E. I went there myself; it's time, friends, to get ready for school with a little seasonal shopping.
