Payne Tours South Orange Small Businesses

Congressman goes on a walkabout to meet local merchants in honor of National Small Business Week.

 

Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) toured several small South Orange businesses Friday morning, in honor of National Small Business Week.

A member of the House of Representatives Committee on Small Business, Payne visited several local businesses and chatted with owners about their experience with starting and maintaining their business.

Joined by Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, South Orange Village President Alex Torpey and South Orange trustees Deborah Davis Ford and Howard Levison, Payne visited Kitchen a la Mode, The Wellness Lounge, Stony’s, Lucky 7 Expressions and Above Restaurant and Bar.  

"Congressman Payne demonstrated a passion for small businesses and an impressive knowledge of their importance in the US economy," said Ben Salmon, owner of Kitchen a la Mode. "I'm looking forward to following what he does on the Congressional Committee on Small Business."
