Police Blotter: Car Left Running Stolen from Driveway and Arrests
A look at recent police activity

A Varsity Rd. resident stated that on Dec. 27, at approximately 5:45 p.m. he saw his friend's vehicle being driven out of the driveway. The 1996 Ford Explorer had been left running.
Jaquan Hatcher, 18, Newark, was arrested at his home on Dec. 23 after an investigation conducted by the Detective Bureau revealed that he had committed a robbery in South Orange on Dec. 16.
On Dec. 27, at approximately 1:20 p.m., a South Orange resident  was walking home on West Montrose Ave when he was approached by three individuals. One pointed a knife at the victim and demanded his Ipod. The victim fled on foot and contacted the Police Department. Officers arriving on the scene discovered actors matching the description on foot on East Clark Pl. traveling north toward Orange. Angelo Rodriguez, 22, of Orange and two juveniles were arrested after being identified by the victim.
