A South Orange resident stated that on September 8 at approximately 10:50 p.m. he was at the ATM machine located at 76 S.Orange Ave. when he was approached by a person who demanded the victim remove cash from the ATM. The victim described him as a black male approximately 18 years of age, 5'11" in height, thin build and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The aggresson pushed what the victim believed to be a barrel of a gun through a front hole in his sweatshirt, so it was visible to the victim. The man was observed by responding Police Officers two blocks away from the scene. Officers gave pursuit on foot after the fleeing actor as he fled through rear yards however, the actor was unable to be apprehended. The Essex County K-9 unit and Maplewood Officers responded in addition to assist in the search. The detective Bureau is investigating the incident.
A Brooklyn resident stated that on September 7 at approximately 10:57 p.m. he was sitting on a bench outside the main train station on Sloan St. when a man wearing a red polo shirt and a dark baseball cap on backward grabbed his backpack from the bench and fled. The victim gave chase and the actor dropped the bag a short distance away.
A Brookwood Rd. resident stated that sometime between September 5 and 6, someone entered her residence via an unlocked front screen door. Once inside the home the person removed a wallet from a shelf in the front hallway and entered the victim's vehicle and removed a GPS system. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.

A Short Hills resident stated that she parked her vehicle in a lot off of Sloan St. on September 8 at approximately 7:30 a.m. and when she returned to it eight hours later she discovered a broken the driver side window. Her GPS system was stolen.Â
