Shoplifting Spree Hits South Orange Pathmark

Two men arrested while two others remain at-large in separate incidents at grocery store.

Two men were arrested recently in separate shoplifting incidents at Pathmark supermarket in South Orange, and two others are at-large in another incident, according to police. 

South Orange Police arrested Brian Ayers, a 48-year-old Newark resident, and charged him with shoplifting after store security officers saw him attempting to leave the supermarket without paying for several items at about 9 a.m. Friday, police said. 

In the second incident, police arrested Taillins Saint Sulne, an 18-year-old Maplewood resident, at about 4:45 p.m. Monday after store security officers saw him allegedly leave the store without paying for several items.

Also on Monday, security officers saw two men at about 7:45 p.m. enter the supermarket, collect several items and walk to the self checkout counter, police said.

Security officers allege the men dropped the items on the floor at the last minute and ran out of the store, driving away in a blue two-door Honda, police said.

The first man was described as black, 6-feet tall, with a thin build, a shaved head, a beard and wearing eyeglasses, blue jeans and a gray T-shirt, police said. The second man is described as a heavy set black man wearing a green T-shirt, jean shorts and a baseball cap, police said.
