Robert Sandow, running as a true independent, filed petitions March 11 and has been certified as a candidate for the South Orange Board of Trustees elections on May 14.

Sandow is an Information Technology Executive with over 20 years of experience building and managing technology solutions for some of the world’s largest banks and hedge funds.
Since moving to South Orange five years ago, Sandow has been quite active in the community, serving on the board of the Tuxedo Park Association, as its Vice President, and later as its President. He has been an annual performer in the “Downtown After Sundown” music series, both as a solo artist and with his band, The Kludge. He currently serves on the board of SOPAC, and formerly served on the board of Collaborative Arts Project 21, a New York City theatre and conservatory.

Sandow lives in the Tuxedo Park neighborhood of South Orange with his wife, Joyce Isabelle, a partner in South Orange based consulting firm Growth for Good. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
