SHU Holds Prayer Service for Moore, Vanterpool and Henry

Members of the SHU community are invited to attend wearing "Pirate blue."

Hundreds of students and members of the Seton Hall University community are expected to fill Walsh Gymnasium today at 4:00 p.m. for a prayer service that remembers Jessica Moore, who died ten days ago, and honors Nakeisha Vanterpool and Nicosia Henry. Vanterpool and Henry, who were wounded at the same October 2 off-campus party where Moore was shot, have returned to campus.

"This is an opportunity for the University to come together in solidarity as a family," according to the media release, which encourages those in attendance to wear "Pirate blue." In addition, students and members of the SHU community are asked to "bring their memories, hopes and petitions for healing."

Seton Hall University chartered buses that took students to Moore's Virginia funeral on Saturday.
