South Orange Avenue Sees a New Surface

August means heat, humidity, and roadwork. This year, South Orange Ave. will see nighttime milling and paving from August 10 until August 31, weather permitting. Locally, preparations have been underway for several days, with crews patching and marking the street.

The work area spans South Orange Ave. from Prospect St. in South Orange to John F. Kennedy Parkway in Livingston. The work will be done under the auspices of the Countywide Roadway Resurfacing Program.

Drivers and bikers are warned to expect shifts in lanes and traffic patterns from 8:00p.m. until 6:00 a.m. for the duration of the project.
