South Orange Mallards Gather on Meadowbrook Lane

In an unusual sight -- at least during this dry summer -- a group of mallard ducks gathered mid-afternoon on Meadowbrook Lane. As if to answer the question, "How much rain is out there?" the ducks made themselves at home in the middle of the street, gathered around a deep puddle. Only one consented to a cameo here; the other dozen waddled away to a sodden yard.
